Do you love spending time with dogs? Maybe you have a dog of your own, or you have always had dogs; but now find yourself without one? If you would like to earn extra income whilst providing a loving home for dogs whilst their owners are away, then becoming a dog boarder is a great solution.

Happy Hounds have one of the South’s largest networks of dog boarders, and we are always looking for new dog carers, to help provide a homely environment for our clients dogs.

With more and more people choosing dog boarders over conventional kennels, our need for additional dog boarders in our network is ever increasing.

So, how does it work? That’s simple! On becoming one of our approved dog boarders in the Happy Hounds network, you will begin to receive enquiries from us regarding each of the dogs, and when they need a home. If you like the dog, and you are available on the required dates, then its a match.

How much could I earn? That depends on how frequently you can look after the dogs. However, most of our team become dog boarders because of their love for dogs, and the desire to care for a fluffy friend; the financial rewards are just a benefit.

What does it cost to become a dog boarder? Essentially nothing! Happy Hounds request a deposit of £150 which covers your boarding licence from the council, a uniform, and business cards. On completion of your 10th dog stay, this amount will be refunded.

How many dogs can I look after? Your boarding licence will allow you to look after up to 4 dogs including your own. At Happy Hounds we only provide you with dogs from the same home. Most of the time you will be boarding 1 dog, or at most 2-3 dogs from the same household.
