DogFest 2023 In Tatton Park: We’re Back Baby!

A much loved and widely celebrated dog-friendly festival is returning to Cheshire this summer.

Dog Fest 2023

We’re, of course, talking about DogFest 2023 – a two-day event featuring some wonderful and impressive displays from leading canine athletes, in addition to shopping stalls at the Dogs Trust Village, workshops, fun-filled activities, advice panels from animal experts, and even a dedicated K9 Dog Diving pool.

Amongst the talent appearing over the weekend will include UK Disc Dog champion Sandra Walsh, dog grooming expert Julie Harris, dog behaviourist Kassie Woods, West Lancs Dog Display Team, Channel 4’s Chloe Fuller, Cheshire Police Dogs, Wilmslow Wild Dogs, and TV presenter Michaela Strachan.

DogFest 2023 is set to take place on the 17th and 18th of June at Tatton Park. Are you going to make it? Not sure if it’s your bag? Well, keep reading to find out!

What’s going to happen at DogFest 2023?

To say that the event will be exciting is a bit of an understatement.

The super-popular hay bale race will be making a return while the ball pit and hoopers will be present as well, just like last year. Canines adept at water-based activities will take part in dog diving, thanks to the event’s partnership with K9 Aqua Sports.

If you have a pooch then you might want to consider entering them in the Dog Fun Show – your chance to win the ‘Best in Show’ title for your beloved pooch.

A featured event partner, Dog Trust, will be conducting a Dog School of sorts, where owners can participate in 15-minute long group training sessions to learn valuable tips and new skills to better train and communicate with their dogs.

Louisa Ferrari, Dog Trust’s Events & Logistics Manager has already stated that the bite-sized 15-minute training sessions will present owners with a splendid opportunity to practice specific exercises – for instance, like loose lead dog walking, recall and settle, or learning how to command their dogs to keep all four paws planted firmly on the ground.

Additionally, there’s going to be a training station dedicated to dog behaviour, where owners can ask dog training experts for all kinds of advice and guidance. In fact, take your dog with you, and coaches will offer initial guidance to your on the spot!

The Dogs Trust Village will offer information on dogs at the charity’s designated centres to those who want to adopt a dog as part of their family. The Regional Supporter Relationship Manager, Shauna Stedman, has said that she is very excited to welcome dog lovers and their furry companions to the event. The charity partner has already participated twice in DogFest and this will be their third year in a row, where they intend to have a fantastic time meeting dogs and their respective owners.

Better book your dog at a quality ‘dog grooming in Winchester’ centre if you want to get it to look and feel its best, as most owners already are!

Shauna also said that Dogs Trust Village will be very active at the event this year, where the team is open to meeting everyone, as owners and their pooches take part in fun-fueled activities such as their enrichment garden – keeping both pooch and owner nicely entertained.

Shauna added that she loves catching up with former Dogs Trust residents each year to follow up and see how the canines have settled into their new ‘forever homes’. She’s really looking forward to dog owners dropping by for a chat this year, and a doggy day care centre is a great way to get your pup to relax and look its best prior to the event!
